About Andrea

My name is Andrea Row, owner of ARROW Integrative Coaching. As a an integrative grief coach, neurodivergent therapist, and widowed mom, my passion is helping others manage the overwhelming stresses of life, the heavy burden of grief, and discover their authentic selves while implementing practical, effective ways to initiate and nurture the process of healing in mind, body, and spirit. Trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent-affirming, I am dedicated to helping my clients move from survival mode to a path of healing and growth.

From 2009 to 2021, I volunteered in several different capacities with Soaring Spirits International and Camp Widow®, and established their first regional group in Western New York in 2018. As co-founder of The Matthew Row Scholarship Foundation, I also served as president from 2014 to 2019. During our time in operation, the annual Run For Row 5K raised a total of $32,500 in educational scholarships for high school seniors in WNY who, like my children, lost a parent or guardian. We were also able to donate $4,000 in Camp Widow® registrations.

Recognizing the growing need for secular, therapeutic grief support specific to spouse and partner loss, I developed the Widowed Support Program- an innovative ten-week curriculum tailored to meet the unique needs of this underserved population. First launched in 2022, this program now operates under ARROW Integrative Coaching and offers a comprehensive approach to grief and uses the journal I published as a guide. This program garners remarkably positive feedback from its participants and is endorsed by local school districts and mental health professionals.

Humans are wired for survival, and problems arise when we get stuck in survival mode. Grief and trauma have a lot in common, and a hard truth is that trauma has a cumulative effect that leads to further trauma, building layer upon layer. Unprocessed emotional pain creates physical symptoms, and over time, illnesses. Healing begins with safety and connection, and requires attention to all aspects of our being- physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. I discovered this firsthand when I took myself through a desperately needed transformative process that finally pulled me out of survival mode. Through trial and error, I eventually found what works (and what doesn't), and learned that we are always a work in progress. Now, I can't think of anything more fulfilling than helping others through this transformative process, too. â€‹
